In House Laboratory

If your pet is sick, or even if they are healthy, our doctors recommend running lab tests occasionally to see how things are going on the inside of your pet. It is also a great idea to run pre-anesthesia blood work when your pet is going to have surgery to help minimize complications due to unforeseen internal issues. In your older pet, a senior screen will give us a good look at what is going on with your pet’s kidneys, liver, thyroid, blood count, urine, and more.

Our Hospital has a well equipped in-house laboratory. We have the ability to perform pre-anesthetic blood panels, senior screens, and general health profiles (these usually take less than 30 minutes). We also perform urinalyses, fecal tests for parasites, Heartworm, Parvo, Giardia and Felv/FIV tests. In addition, we use Idexx Laboratory Services. If your pet's sample is sent to Idexx we usually have results within 24-48 hours.

Read What Our Clients Say

  • "I started using Lillian as my vet when she was still at her home on the Westside Highway then she moved to where she is now in Kelso. I had a registered German Shepherd that got hit by a car, I took Duke to Lillian after hours and she worked with him all night trying to save him but he passed. I'll never forget how hard she tried. THE BEST!! Thanks, Lillian."
